Carpet cleaning in Edinburgh

Deep cleaned, deodorised, protected against the next spill, and dry before we've packed up the van. That's the whole pitch, and 770 Google reviewers seem to agree it holds up.

The problem with wet carpets

Nobody warns you about the drying time

Conventional carpet cleaning has a dirty secret: the machine leaves. The water doesn't. Steam cleaned carpets in a Scottish home can stay damp for a full day, sometimes longer in winter. Damp carpet smells, wicks old stains back to the surface, and keeps you out of your own living room.

Dry Fusion was built to fix exactly that. The system combines the heat of hot water extraction with the low moisture of dry cleaning, plus a patented heated pad that warms the fibres while they're being cleaned. It doesn't rely on airflow to clean or to dry.

The result: carpets that are genuinely dry in about half an hour, with no soggy underlay and no detergent residue waiting to attract the next lot of dirt.

What happens on the day

One visit, four jobs done at once

Survey and pre-treat

We look at fibre type, stains and traffic areas first, then pre-treat anything stubborn. If a mark won't come out, we say so before we start, not after.

Hot clean at pH 7.2

The cleaning solution is neutral, biodegradable and approved by carpet fibre manufacturers. Many cleaners use pre-sprays at pH 10 to 12, which can strip colour and damage wool.

Protect and deodorise

A fluorocarbon shield goes onto every fibre during the clean, blocking the dye sites where food and drink spills normally become stains. Natural orange and vanilla extracts deal with odours.

Heat dry in 30 minutes

The heated pad dries the carpet as it finishes. You walk back in, put the furniture back, get on with your day.

Questions

Carpet cleaning questions, answered

Do I need to move furniture before you arrive?

Move small and breakable things if you can. We work around sofas and beds all the time, and we can shift most furniture ourselves. Since the carpet dries in about 30 minutes, everything goes back the same day.

Will old stains come out?

Most do. Heat, agitation and the right chemistry shift the majority of food, drink, mud and traffic marks. Old bleach spots and dye damage are a different story, because the colour itself has gone. We'll tell you honestly before we start.

How is this different from steam cleaning?

Steam cleaning floods the carpet and then tries to suck the water back out, so drying depends on airflow and can take a day. Dry Fusion cleans with a fraction of the water and heats the fibres while cleaning them. Half an hour later you're walking on them.

How often should carpets be cleaned professionally?

Once a year suits most homes. With pets, kids or a busy hallway, every six months keeps things fresh. It's also cheaper to maintain a carpet than to replace one, by a wide margin.
